This doesn’t have to be a chore, but having your dose of daily positivity in baby steps can help you reach a goal. It doesn’t matter what goals you have in life, what matters is the journey of you reaching that goal.
Your daily dose of positivity comes with work and motivation. With time, it becomes a positive habit.
Here’s an example of what I’m doing now. My goal is to one day be financially independent and because I know NOTHING about finance, I’m slowly learning through self-education.
I followed blogs and listened to their podcasts.
I swapped out Pandora for Podcasts instead to learn. While I’m at work and not running all over the place for meetings, I’ll sit at my desk and listen to podcasts.
It’s the best way to learn while I’m at work since I don’t have the time to read a book. Of course I’ll listen to my favorite financial blogger, millenialmoney.com. I’m such a fan of Grant’s.

Read books on personal finance.
Honestly, it’s hard to find some free time to read a book, which is why I prefer a podcast. There are Audible books but I haven’t had the chance to try it yet.
Have you tried it? If so, how do you like it? I feel like if I try to read at night before bed, I may zonk out before I could even begin.
Keep track of where money is going.
This wasn’t much of a baby step for me on this part. I’ve been doing this since I got my first job, but it was just a few years ago I took it a lot more seriously. This may not seem much but it’s really important to me that I track my expenses.
I’m the type of person that needs to know how much money I have left over. This helps me track on each thing that I spend my money on and making sure that I’m not overspending.

Connect with other people who ‘get’ you.
Are you on social media? I sure hope so.
The only way to get far with your goals and continuing taking baby steps is to follow other folks that are like minded as you.
If you want to learn about finance, follow people who talk about finance. If you want to learn about being healthy, follow people who doing the same thing.
The main thing is that you surround yourself with people who has the same goals as you.
