My boyfriend had sent me a link on Facebook and what he had sent me disturbed me a lot. I never would’ve guessed that our own supermarkets may be selling us fake foods that look real just for the sake of profits. Evil money hungry pigs is what I call them! I’m amazed at how far someone will go to concoct something so fake and yet make it look real and sell it in stores for consumption.
Before I continue, I’d like to share that links below may contain my affiliate links. What it means is that I could receive a small commission if you click on a link to the product or service that I use myself and recommend to you.
I heard about fake foods being sold in China but never would have thought about it happening so close to home. The ones I’ve heard in China was rat meat being sold on the streets as lamb or how about 40-year-old frozen meat being sold on the market? Disgusting right?
Again, I’m just amazed at how far people will go to make a sale on fake foods that look real.
A few may not have happened in the US, but just knowing that this can happen anywhere is just crazy.
Take a look at these videos, you’d be shocked at how some fake foods that look real can be so dangerous at the same time.
Nigerian buys plastic sponge like fish
After I had seen this video, it looks like the kind of spongy material that comes in the white liner for meats.
Ground beef being resold
I can definitely understand why I would get a stomach ache here and there after eating meat. This video disturbs me a bit because I buy a lot of meat and freeze them. Not exactly fake foods, but more like recycled spoiled meat.
Fake rice and fake seaweed
I’m shocked that companies would even do this. It makes me afraid to even try different brands from other countries and I like Asian brands. Here’s an article on why people have trust issues about food and a disturbing video below.
Supermarket meats and fish
We all know about McDonald’s and how their food never spoils. But it’s pretty interesting to know what else is going on with these fast food chains.
These videos about how fake foods that look real can be a bit disturbing but it also helps to be aware of the groceries we buy no matter what country we’re in.
