It’s pretty amazing to see the progress of so many bloggers online. I just love reading their monthly income reports. They will list things down like what they are doing differently with traffic or where they are getting their income from. It keeps me motivated to one day reach their level of success. It doesn’t matter what these bloggers are blogging about, the main fact is that these bloggers are somehow able to make money from blogging.
I’ve read so many blogs that I noticed a trend on how they make money from blogging.
Blogging is such a great side hustle that a lot of people were able to quit their soul sucking full-time jobs and actually do something they love. They have the financial stability, so why not be financially free from a boring 9-5 job?
Before I continue, I’d like to share that links below may contain my affiliate links. What it means is that I could receive a small commission if you click on a link to the product or service that I use myself and recommend to you.
Here’s How Blogger’s Make Money from Blogging
Before I begin, I want to let you know about my disclaimer. This page contains affiliate links and what that means is, if you sign up using my link, I may get a small commission for it. I only share products and services that I personally use and like.
This was such a huge struggle of mine when I first started my first blog years ago. It amazes me how people can earn a commission from purchasing a product through your affiliate link. But yes, this is one way on how blogger’s make money from blogging.
You can become an affiliate marketer through two different methods. If you sign up with an agency, usually free, you have access to a library filled with merchants that have products related to whatever you want to blog about.
For example, I’m an affiliate with shareasale.com. I can apply for any merchant, if I am approved, I have access to their marketing links and banners. How this works is, if someone clicks on my affiliate link, it takes them to a website of the product I’m promoting. If they purchase something, I can earn a percentage of the sale.
The other method is promoting an item that you bought and then signing up to become an affiliate of that product. As the method above, I earn a percentage of the sale.
An example of the second method that I want to share is Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. I had purchased this course because I needed help with affiliate marketing. I had failed the first time in this area, and I didn’t want a repeat for this personal finance blog. I loved the course so much that I requested to become an affiliate to promote the course on my blog. See why I love Michelle’s course so much.
If you have writing talent, then freelancing could work for you. A lot of small businesses have blogs which mean that these small business owners need content written for them. You can join sites like Upwork, Fiverr, and PeoplePerHour to promote your services.
Are you great at creating websites? Are you able to manage social media accounts for other people? Do you do coaching services?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then you can make money online from blogging. Folks can make thousands of dollars a month for services like these and it’s like the ultimate income stream for bloggers!
As a blogger starts being successful with incoming traffic, other companies and or bloggers will take notice of that. They will pay you for a sponsored post because they can see that you have great blogger’s influence to promote their product. One thing I learned about sponsored content from popular bloggers is to be careful who you choose to work with.
Last but not least, make money blogging with advertisements. This could be placing ads on your blog or even doing campaigns with Facebook ads. For placing ads on your blog, you can use Google Ads. If your traffic is more than 30,000 consistently per month, then try for MediaVine. Facebook ads is a mystery to me but if you learn how to use the system, you can definitely make money from it.
It’s pretty interesting to see how much a blogger can make per month through a blog. It just motivates me to keep pursuing the financial freedom with my blog. Blogging is hard and it does take time, but with hard work and determination, it can be done in less than a year. Don’t believe me? Check out Chasing Foxes and their huge achievement. This couple went from broke to successful in less than a year and are now traveling the world.

Save Money on Groceries: This has been such a struggle for me since day 1 and I always go over budget with grocery shopping on certain weeks. But as long as I stick with my plan, I have my shopping list, and I leave the boyfriend home then I’ll be fine.
$5 Meal Plan: This has been such a time saver for me! This relates to my resource above on grocery shopping. I struggled with meal prepping because I just don’t have the time to spend looking for recipes. I decided to try this out because I have seen popular bloggers mention it and curiosity got the best of me. The system sends me recipes and a shopping list weekly. The recipes are so easy to cook and it helps me save time.
